Dr. James Jackson is a neuropsychologist and professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. For the last 20 years, he has conducted research on long-term cognitive and mental health outcomes as well as cognitive rehabilitation in survivors of critical illness . A widely published and NIH, VA, and DOD funded investigator, he is the Director of Long-Term Outcomes at Vanderbilt's award winning ICU Recovery Center and the Director of Long-Term Outcomes at the Critical Illness, Brain Dysfunction, and Survivorship (CIBS) Center. Since the beginning of the pandemic, much of his work has focused on neuropsychological issues in individuals after Covid-19, including the development of 5 peer support groups for Covid survivors from around the world.
