Assistant Professor
Northwestern University
Chicago, Illinois
I am currently active at both Northwestern Memorial Hospital and at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, with specialization in Rehabilitation Psychiatry. I provide consultation to multiple services through both hospital systems and the primary focus is on recovery in the areas of severe traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, burns, amputations, and solid organ transplantation. I specialize in patients with functional neurological disorders and brain injury and enjoy working closely with team members to help patients regain functional recovery. I am the Program Director for the adult residency training program and work closely with the Physician Assistant training program at Northwestern. My clinical research has focused on the assessment and management of chronic pain conditions and impact of illness on patient caregivers. I continue to study the use of simulation for high stakes scenarios in clinical practice and the validity of evaluation methods in residency training.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
