Dr. Burke is the Medical Director of the UCSF Trauma Recovery Center, which provides free , time-limited evidenced based mental health services and case management to victims of violence. This includes work with immigrants fleeing violence and survivors of torture referred through Survivors International. Dr. Burke is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and has taught locally and nationally on collaborative care, mental / developmental health and the environment, and ethical issues around pediatric psychopharmacology. She has a long history of providing therapy and psychiatric care for survivors of trauma of all ages.
