Dr Lewicki completed a BA in History at Harvard College and a JD at the University of Southern California Law School before turning to screenwriting. She wrote for Dawson's Creek and Cold Case, and had an original screenplay recognized by Franklin Leonard's Black List, before throwing it all over for psychiatry. She attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed residency at UVM in Burlington Vermont. She is currently the Medical Director of Acute Care and Inpatient Psychiatry at the VA in White River Junction. Her interests include immune system responses to the subjective perception of safety, and the uses of storytelling for social connection.
