I am a health services researcher with a focus on health economics and quantitative evaluations. As an expert applied econometrician and statistician, I have published numerous papers that empirically demonstrate the value of various innovative care delivery models, particularly from the payer's perspective. For instance, I have recently published a paper that examined the impact of a complex care management model for adolescents with special care and health needs on their acute care utilization and total cost of care using health plan claims data. The ultimate goal of these studies is to establish the economic sustainability and feasibility of such innovations in today's real-world healthcare market context. In addition, my research area has also included developing predictive models and tools that can be used for early identification of high-cost patients in the future. The goal of these studies is to maximize the value of scarce healthcare resources and to avoid avoidable care via early detection and proactive identification of risk factors. Conducting such studies require deep knowledge and extensive experience in working and analyzing secondary data sources (e.g., health plan claims data and electronic health records).
