Dr. Jennings was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He attended Wake Forest University and obtained a B.S. in Biology and Neuroscience. He received his medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso, TX and completed his psychiatry residency at UT Southwestern. He chose to pursue a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry due to his interest in a holistic approach to patient care that emphasizes the intricately woven bridge between the physical and mental wellbeing of patients. His professional interests include psychopharmacology, recognition and prevention of delirium, eating disorders, patient safety and advocacy, and the impact of cultural diversity on patient experiences and their care. He was selected as The 2019 Resident Safety Champion at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He enjoys art, film, board games, and spending time with his family and friends. He plans on staying on as Consultation-Liaison faculty at UT Southwestern medical center.
