This presentation will compare and contrast strategies consisting of evidence-based practices with outcomes-based treatment. The case will be made that, while outcomes-based treatment strategies might employ evidence-based practices, outcomes-based monitoring is essential to verifying the impacts of treatment. The attempted implementation of evidence-based practices may or may not have fidelity to the model used. Additionally, even with fidelity to a model, the model as implemented may or may not be effective on a given patient population. The presentation will discuss how outcomes-based treatment can be implemented.
