Courtney Froehlig leads policy development for products at TikTok related to child safety and family experiences, including TikTok for Younger Users, Family Pairing, restricted-viewing modes, and emerging safety tools in the US and Canada. Previously, she received a PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge and worked as a policy analyst in the UK Government Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, where she partnered with tech companies to design in-app interventions aimed at reducing cyber-bullying and supporting healthy interactions online. She has spearheaded parent and teacher-led education programs in both the US and UK and is an advocate of co-designing digital literacy interventions, tools, and policies in collaboration with parents, teachers and young people.
