David Wilson is a Senior Litigation Lawyer within the Australian Federal Police (AFP) led Criminal Assets Confiscation Taskforce (CACT), who has been a practicing lawyer for eleven years. He has conducted these confiscations proceedings, which are civil in nature, on behalf of the Commissioner of the AFP since 2015. During this time, he has restrained and confiscated houses, cars, luxury goods, bank accounts, cash and cryptocurrency in matters involving money-laundering, drug trafficking, slavery, people smuggling and child abuse material offenses. Prior to his employment at the AFP, David was a litigation lawyer at a leading corporate commercial law firm in South Australia.
