Homeland Security Investigations

Austin Berrier has been a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) since January 2003 and has served in both the Los Angeles and Phoenix field offices. He has been assigned to Crimes Against Children since January 2011, where he has conducted both traditional and undercover online investigations across a broad spectrum of platforms such as P2P, E2EE, social media, file-sharing & live-streaming platforms. Austin is a recipient of the 2018 Assistant Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award for Project Mercury, an over three year online undercover investigation that has led to the indictment of over 250 child predators globally and the identification of nearly ninety child victims.
