Mary-Ann Burkhart throughout her three decade legal career, is a proven leader in field child abuse investigations. She served on the staff of the National Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse as a Senior Attorney, and was Director of the Association of Prosecuting Attorney's Child Abuse Prosecution Project. Mary-Ann has published numerous articles and book chapters on various topics related to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse, and has trained extensively on the topic. Today, as Senior Assistant State's Attorney in Wicomico County Maryland, she is back in the courtroom, yet continues to provide training for child abuse professionals and prosecutors, as she has done for thousands of professionals throughout her career.
