Vennesa Villarreal is a victim advocate in the Human Trafficking and Transnational Organized Crime Section. She received her undergraduate degree from Southwest Texas State University in 2007, and her graduate degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2012. She was previously an advocate with Austin SafePlace, the Texas Council on Family Violence, and the Army Family Advocacy Program. Vennesa has been advocating for victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault for nineteen years. She was a certified SHARP facilitator for the Department of Defense on Ft. Bliss Texas. She has been training the public, military leaders, and social service workers for over ten years on issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.
