Dallas Children's Advocacy Center
Lexi Allman has served as a family advocate with the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) for five years. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University in 2017, Lexi worked as a family advocate intern at DCAC for a year before becoming full-time staff in 2018. As a family advocate, she primarily conducts screenings for trauma symptoms with children who have experienced criminal abuse and their non-offending caregivers. In her advocacy, Lexi also completes risk assessments and safety plans for suicidality, provides case management and engagement support to families, and collaborates with investigative partners. Lexi also acts as a family advocate supervisor for DCAC’s Doctoral Psychology Internship Program.
