Steve Reeves

Global Safeguarding

Steve Reeves is the Executive Director of Global Safeguarding and an internationally recognized specialist in combatting sexual exploitation and abuse. He sits on various advisory boards, including UK FCDO’s Independent Reference Group, and is a Strategic Advisor to the British Transport Police and INTERPOL’s operation to tackle exploitation in the aid sector. Steve was the Safeguarding Director of Save the Children, acting as principal advisor to the Trustees. Previously, Steve was the Head of Safeguarding for The Scout Association, the UK's largest co-educational youth organization.

Steve has a degree in International Politics and a Master’s in Criminology, with extensive training and experience in safeguarding and preventing child sexual abuse. In 2010, the Queen made Steve a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
