Montgomery County District Attorney's Office

Lisa Stewart has worked for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office since 2011 and is currently the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Victims Unit. In the SVU, she supervises two prosecutors: one assigned to sexual abuse and the other assigned to severe physical abuse and child fatality cases. She is co-located at the local children’s advocacy center, Children’s Safe Harbor, with the multi-disciplinary team. During her time with the office, Lisa has prosecuted cases in special crimes divisions including Vehicular Crimes, Public Integrity, and Domestic Violence. She has trained local law enforcement officers on how to effectively identify and investigate strangulation, domestic violence, and sexual assault cases to aid the prosecution and presentation of the cases to a jury.
