Cheryl's Voice
LaTasha Jackson-McDougle was abandoned as a child at the age of eighteen months. In 1984 her father killed her mother after stalking her and then took his own life. Thirty-seven years later LaTasha has become an advocate for victims. She has dedicated her life and formal education to learning more about domestic violence. She is motivated to share her tragic personal story and play an active role in domestic violence awareness. LaTasha has received the following awards for her service: 2019 International Alliance World of Difference Award; 2019 Best of Fort Worth, Texas Philanthropist; 2019 Women’s Center Community Recognition; 2018 Fort Worth Business Press Minority Leader and 2017 award for work in trafficking court.
