This case study will discuss how one victim leads to three more, spanning two decades. The offender befriended parents and preyed on girls hoping for a chance at college through softball scholarships. He even convinced one parent her child would be better off living with him. Though he called her his "daughter," he proceeded to sexually abuse one girl for over a decade. When he sexually assaulted an intern at his job, the resulting investigation uncovered old recordings of the abuse; sexually gratifying himself in various ways; and images from his cell phone. The presenters will discuss how these recordings were admitted despite objections that the recordings did not show any faces. Attendees will learn the obstacles and the ups and downs faced in this trial and even the weirdness of trying this defendant, whose last name is Corona, during the Corona pandemic.
