The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI’s) National Data Exchange (N-DEx) System provides federal, state, local, and tribal (FSLT) criminal justice agencies with a mechanism to nationally share, search, link, and analyze investigative information across jurisdictional boundaries. Records in the N-DEx System span the criminal justice life cycle and include information related to incident/case reports, arrests, missing person reports, service calls, booking and incarceration reports, pre-trial, probation and parole reports, warrants, citations/tickets, and field contacts/field interviews. Currently over 8,200 FSTL criminal justice agencies share over 954 million records via the N-DEx System. The N-DEx System is available 24/7 via any secure internet-capable device and provides NO FEE access. This workshop is designed to provide users with their first look at the N-DEx System and will highlight the effective use of the N-DEx System search, batch search, and subscription capabilities. One of the success stories using the N-DEx Batch Search functionality involved the recovery and identification of 103 child victims and the arrest of 67 sex traffickers resulting in 60 new federal investigations.
