This workshop will examine how actor-based intelligence and group analysis lead to a large discovery of online predators. Attendees will learn how changes in technology and global social trends influenced this offender group’s behaviors, and how AI technology combined with human intelligence revealed their evasion tactics. Attendees will also learn how real-world experiences from law enforcement can be translated to successfully train AI technology to protect a greater number of children, through the early identification of offender MOs, to track and mitigate future risks to those most vulnerable.
Learning Objectives:
Understand how private sector companies are leveraging AI and human intelligence to detect and disrupt harmful online behaviors.
Discover how real-world experience can inform a career in law enforcement and then progress into the world of safety technology.
Learn the importance of considering language, region, culture, and the global nature of the internet in tackling child endangerment online.
Examine the potential blast radius of a single bad actor discovery.
Identify how the prevention of harm and safety by design are critical to the safety of the Metaverse.
