This workshop will provide attendees with best practices for a successful suspect interview in child abuse cases. This discussion will include steps to avoid legal pitfalls that can result in suppression of the suspect's statement, ways to contact the suspect in a manner most likely to get them to agree to be interviewed, and strategies for asking your questions in the most effective and productive way. This presentation can benefit all levels of detectives.
