This three-part workshop will introduce participants to TraumaPlay™, a model comprised of evidence-informed treatment goals that scaffold the pathways to a host of interventions for survivors of child sexual abuse and other forms of maltreatment. Grounded in attachment theory, this components-based model explores the neurobiology of play, the neurobiology of trauma, and the power of one to heal the other. An understanding of bottom-up development allows for the integration of multiple Evidence-Based Treatments and seeks to follow the need of the traumatized child and their non-offending caregivers throughout the course of treatment.
