Dallas County District Attorney's Office-Crimes Against Children Division
With so many different meanings for the term "victim advocate," this presentation will explore the different fields of advocacy and how they work together. The common factor in all advocacy roles is providing services to the victim and their families. This presentation will focus on the services provided by advocates in the Crimes Against Children Division of the Dallas County District Attorney's Office and their community partners. The discussion will also include common issues all advocates face including cultural diversity, burnout/self-care, and the victim-centered approach.
