This workshop discusses a variety of areas related to breaking through sex offender denial and deception tactics. The presenters will examine the easily identified cognitive elements of deception, the content analysis approach to deception detection, and research-based indicators of deception within an offender’s statements. Case examples will be utilized to further enhance the interviewing skills of justice system professionals. Regardless of your role in the system, you will gain valuable insights from this presentation which can enhance your job performance.
