In this workshop, Dr. Turner pulls back the curtain on sexual deviance and the deep and dark fantasies that fuel sexual offending. By understanding how offenders with paraphilic disorders such as exhibitionism, sadism, pedophilia, and others actually see their victims and by understanding how their fantasies affect their offending behaviors and M.O.'s, attendees will be more able to relate to these offenders during interviews for purposes of establishing rapport and eliciting important information. Dr. Turner uses video clips from actual interviews with offenders to assist in addressing key points and in showing how these disorders manifest in "real life." Warning: This session features case information and offender statements that are unedited and may be triggering for some persons.
