Shaye is a manager of the Critical Care House Officer group at The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. After growing up in Maine, she received her undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Miami in Florida and worked at the bedside as an RN at Duke University Hospital; first on their Cardiothoracic Step-down unit and finally in their Cardiothoracic ICU. After receiving her Master’s degree in nursing from Duke University she chose to pursue a job that would allow her to work at the top of her license, and went to the Cleveland Clinic to work as an APRN in the Critical Care House Officer program. Here, she further grew her knowledge base and specialized in inpatient emergency response and critical care. She has continued to move up the ranks, and utilizes her skills as a transformative leader to push her employees to pursue their passions, and advocate for the advancements of both the nursing and APRN professions.
