Kathy Grieser has been a nurse for 44 years and has practiced at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth,Texas for that entire time. She started as an LVN in 1978, received her ADN in 1986 and BSN in 2015. She started her career in the NICU from 1978 to 1989, transferred to the PICU in 1989 and was Nurse Manager from 1990 to 2000, PICU Cardiovascular Coordinator from 2000-2012, bedside staff 2012-2013. She then transferred to the Vascular Access Team in 2013 and became Nurse Manager from July 2019 to present. Kathy started the PICC program in 2005. She has presented at the Society of Pediatric Nurses, Association for Vascular Access in 2019, 2021 and for Contemporary Forums on vascular access as well as for SecurePortIV at lthe AVA Scientific Meeting Vendor Forum for SecurePortIV.
