Special Notice for Attendees Affected by Hurricane Ian
Attendees that are unable to travel to Minneapolis due to Hurricane Ian-related flight cancellations will be converted to virtual meeting registration.
Proof of flight cancellation including the registrant’s name and flight number must be sent to
avaregistration@discoversb.com no later than
October 3, 2022.
Attendees are responsible for canceling any hotel reservations.
PAYMENT POLICIES
All major credit cards and institutional checks are accepted.
To register online using a check, please complete the online registration form and select the “Pay by Check” option. Then, simply mail a check with a copy of your confirmation email to the address below.
After
September 1, check payments will
not be accepted. All outstanding balances must be paid using a credit card submitted online, over the phone, or onsite.
Payment must be received before registration materials may be retrieved.
Cash will not be accepted onsite in Minneapolis. Credit cards only after September 1 and onsite.For more questions about online registration, email

DISCOUNTS FOR GROUPS
Groups of 4 or more can receive a discount on full meeting registration and should register online to take advantage of the group rate. Groups of 4 or more attendees will be eligible for a $50 discount on each full meeting registration.
Example: 5 attendees registering for the full meeting will receive a total $250 discount on the registrations (5 attendees x $50 = $250). All registrations must be submitted at the same time, making one payment to receive the group discount.
Discount cannot be applied to registrations that are not submitted as a group. Discount applies to attendees only; exhibiting companies purchasing additional personnel badges are not eligible.
To register a group online, please fill out the registration form for the first attendee and click “Add Additional Registrant” before you proceed to payment.
PRIVACY POLICIES
As an AVA Scientific Meeting attendee, you have been asked to provide your name and other contact information so that we can send you updates on this meeting. AVA may also send you emails and/or mailings in the future to share information regarding AVA membership or upcoming AVA events. You will be asked to select your privacy setting when you register.
AVA provides 2022 AVA Meeting attendee lists to our exhibitors and sponsors as a benefit of their support. The following information is provided to them for a one-time usage in a spreadsheet format: name, title, company and mailing address.
Email and phone numbers are NEVER shared. You will be asked to select your privacy preferences when you register. Choosing NOT to share your information could prevent receipt of special hospitality events and extra-curricular educational invitations.
Virtual Privacy: Note that your full contact information (title, organization, mailing address, phone, email) may be visible if you choose to share your information when creating your virtual meeting account. By choosing to share your information with attendees and exhibitors, you grant permission to any and all companies that come into contact with you to contact you regardless of the privacy policy option you select.
Onsite Privacy: Note that your full contact information (title, organization, mailing address, phone, email) is encoded in your name badge bar code received at registration. By allowing your badge to be scanned by exhibitors, you grant permission to any and all companies that scan your badge to contact you regardless of the privacy policy option you select when you register.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Cancellation Requests Requests must be submitted in writing to AVA Registration by email at
AVARegistration@discoversb.com. The following cancellation fees will apply:
- Before August 26, 2022: Registration fees will be refunded in full minus a $75 cancellation fee. If initial payment included a membership fee, the membership fee will not be included in the refund.
- After August 26, 2022: Refunds are not permitted but downgrades and substitutions are allowed. See below.
- Substitutions are encouraged and may be requested through AVAregistration@discoversb.com. Please include the original attendee's name and the substitute's full contact information. If the substitute's registration options are different from the original registrant's, the registration fee difference will be charged.
- Changes to Registration Type: Those wishing to change their registration from in-person to online-only or vice versa, must do so by contacting the AVA Registration Department at AVARegistration@discoversb.com.
- Before August 26, 2022, Changes may be made at no additional charge. Applicable refunds will be processed accordingly and applied to same method as payment received.
- After August 26, 2022: A change fee of $50 will apply to all changes in registration. Applicable refunds will be processed accordingly and applied to same method as payment received.
WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICIES
Written notice of cancellation received by the AVA 2022 Scientific Meeting Registration Manager,
no later than 11:59 PM EST on August 26, 2022 will result in a refund of workshop fees paid less a $50 processing fee.
Please submit cancellation requests to
AVAregistration@discoversb.com. Refunds are not permitted for cancellations received after 11:59 PM EST on August 26, 2022. All refunds will be issued utilizing the same method as the initial payment. No-shows are non-refundable.
Substitutions are encouraged and should be submitted to
AVAregistration@discoversb.com. Please include the original attendee's name and the substitute's full contact information. If the substitute's registration options are different from the original registrant's, the registration fee difference will be charged.
Special Notice about the Pediatric and Neonatal PICC Insertion Course and Ultrasound Guided PIV Workshops:Pediatric and Neonatal PICC Insertion Course and Ultrasound Guided PIV Workshops attendees will receive instructions via email on how to access the online didactic component through AVA Academy in August and will have through September 19th to complete. Refunds will not be given to those who do not complete the didactic instruction by September 19th and will not be given access to attend the hands-on workshop at the AVA conference.
Membership Fees: AVA Membership Dues are not refundable.
PROGRAM CANCELLATION
IIn the unlikely event of full conference cancellation, AVA will refund 100 percent of registration fees paid. AVA assumes no liability for any other fees, charges, penalties, or other incidental costs that a registrant might incur as a consequence of cancellation.
Registration fees are not deductible as charitable contributions for tax purposes. Consult your tax advisor, as they may be deductible under sections of the tax code.
CHILDREN
Due to the professional nature of this conference, children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the educational sessions or the Exhibit Hall; unless prior arrangements have been made through AVA.
