Alexander Kutikov, MD, FACS is the Professor and Chair of Urology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, holding the Roberta R. Scheller Endowed Chair in Urologic Oncology. A board-certified urologic surgical oncologist, Dr. Kutikov specializes in treating urologic tumors through both minimally invasive techniques, such as robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and traditional open surgery. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry Summa Cum Laude from Emory University on a full merit-based scholarship, during which he was also selected to represent Emory at Oxford University, England, in his junior year. Dr. Kutikov obtained his MD from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program at Harvard Medical School in 2003. He completed his Urologic residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 2008 and a 2-year fellowship with the Society of Urologic Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Dr. Kutikov has made significant contributions to the field of urologic oncology, notably co-authoring the seminal manuscript on the R.E.N.A.L. Nephrometry Score, a pivotal tool in assessing the complexity of renal tumors. His scholarly output includes over 300 original manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals, and he has contributed chapters to leading urologic textbooks, including a definitive chapter on adrenal disorders in "Campbell-Walsh-Wein Urology."
