Dr. James Weinberger is a resident physician in Urologic Surgery at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He studied Chemistry and Psychology at Duke University, where he graduated magna cum laude. At Duke, he played cornerback for the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Football team. He then spent a year as the research coordinator for the Institute for Bladder and Prostate Research, under the direction of Jerry Blaivas. He earned a dual degree MD, MBA at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine and Anderson School of Management. He was elected to AOA as well as the MBA Honor Society. He will be spending his research year with Dr. Victor Nitti, directing a prospective trial for overactive bladder patients. He is interested in leadership, improving access to care, and health services research.
