Michelle Jo Semins, MD is an Assistant Professor and Urologic Surgeon at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA and Director of the Kidney Stone Clinic at Mercy Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan and her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She then completed her internship in surgery and residency urology training at Johns Hopkins Hospital with additional specialty training in the field of endourology. She has a clinical research focus in kidney stones and was the 2012 recipient of the Northeastern AUA Young Investigator Research Grant. She was also named Young Urologist of the Year in 2016 by the AUA Young Urologists Committee and is a graduate of the 2018-2019 AUA Leadership Program. She is the current Pennsylvania Representative for the Northeastern Section of the AUA and sits on numerous section committees and the AUA QIPS committee as well. She was scientific program chair for the 2019 Northeastern section meeting She is a published author of over 40 articles, over 50 abstracts, and 9 book chapters.
