Dr. Alejandro Remigio Rodríguez, is a urologist with subspecialty in urology oncology, as well as, robotics and minimally invasive surgery at Rochester Regional Health - UAR in Rochester, NY. He is American Board of Urology Certified, and the present Secretary General of the Confederación Americana de Urología (CAU)(2019-2022). He is the former Treasurer of the CAU (1st term 2015-2018; 2nd term 2018-2019). He is former Chief of Urology and Director of Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY (2012-2018). He worked as Assistant Professor of Urology, Director for Robotics and Laparoscopic Surgery at USF Morsani College of Medicine, in Tampa, FL from 2011-2012. He is Fellowship trained in Urology Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, and Fellowship trained in Urology Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery in Rennes - France. He completed Urology training and Chief Residency in the Department of Urology of the USF Morsani College of Medicine. He is an active member of multiple societies such as: AUA, SIU, CAU, EAU, SUO, Endourological Society, Society of Robotic Surgeons, SLS, GURS, and Sociedad Peruana de Urología. He is honorary member of the Sociedad Argentina de Urologia. Prior to his career in the USA and France, he worked as a Urologist in Lima-Peru, after having completed a Urology Residency at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in 1998. He obtained his M.D. degree in 1993 from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico, having graduated at top of his class. Dr. Rodríguez has published over 200 peer review manuscripts and abstracts. Among some awards he received, are: Murphy Scholar Award in Prostate diseases in 2006 - 2009; SLS Outstanding Laparoendoscopic surgeon award in 2009 - 2011; America’s Top Surgeon – Urology (2014 - 2019). Castle Connolly Top Doctor - Urology in 2017 - 2019.
