Ronald Tutrone, MD, FACS, CPI is Chairman of the William E. Kahlert Endowment for Urological Research and Medical Director of Chesapeake Urology Research Associates.
Dr. Tutrone earned his Bachelors of Science degree in chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He continued his education and obtained his MD at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Tutrone did his urology residency at Brigham & Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Tutrone's clinical interests include treatment of urologic malignancies including kidney, bladder and prostate; laparoscopic treatment of renal and adrenal tumors; kidney stone treatment and prostate disorders. He also performs the UroLift procedure for the treatment of BPH/enlarged prostate. He has been voted a "Top Doctor" by Baltimore magazine 12 times, and a "Super Doctor" for Urology in the Washington Post Magazine Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Baltimore.
Dr. Tutrone has authored numerous articles in the urology literature. He has been principal investigator in more than 250 clinical research trials.
