Dr. Tharakeswara Bathala is an associate professor at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Bathala joined the faculty at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2012, after completing his Fellowship in Body Imaging and Interventional Radiology at the Boston University Medical Center. He interprets diagnostic images, especially ultrasound, CT, and MRI scans, and has a clinical and research focus on imaging of prosate cancer. His research interests include health services research, comparative effectiveness, and quality improvement. He is the Principal Investigator of a prospective evaluation of metastatic disease and whole-body MR imaging in high risk prostate cancer. Dr. Bathala serve as a Collaborator on many novel clinical trials for treatment of GU malignancies.
