John Chmiel is a PhD Candidate at Western University (London, Canada). He received his BSc and MSc in Microbiology and Immunology from Western University in 2018 and 2020. His work uses bioinformatics, animal and cell models, and molecular biology techniques to discern the role of the microbiome in kidney stone disease. John has been the recipient of multiple Graduate level awards, including the Canada Graduate Scholarship for his MSc and PhD work.
