My name is Michael R. Odom and I am a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Urology / Department of Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. My current research focus is determining how inflammation mediated by the NLRP3 inflammasome contributes to diabetic bladder dysfunction. I am specifically interested in the connection between urothelial barrier dysfunction and detrusor dysfunction as it relates to diabetic pathology.
