Teressa Duong is a MS4 at UAB Heersink School of Medicine who is pursuing academic surgery with hopes of pediatric surgery in the future. She moved from Vietnam to Birmingham Alabama when she was 8 years old and is a first generation M.D. in the making. Some research topics that Teressa is passionate about are: clinical research relating to pediatric outcomes, surgical quality improvement, and improving health literacy in the U.S. In her free time, Teressa loves to run and get active in the outdoors. She also loves to cook and bake. She shares her passion with cooking and living healthy through an instagram page (@t_likes_to_cook).
