Ramy Goueli, MD, MHS, is currently an assistant professor in the department of urology at University of Texas- Southwestern Medical Center. Ramy complete his undergraduate education at Michigan State University with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology and achieved his medical doctorate and master’s in health sciences at Yale University School of Medicine. Ramy completed his urology residency at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell medical center and completed his fellowship in 2021 in FPRMS at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Ramy has chosen to dedicate himself to the care of all patients afflicted with voiding dysfunction. His research interests include the effect of neurologic diseases and outlet obstruction on the underlying mechanics of the bladder. Additionally, in the laboratory, he is working to develop a deeper understanding of the insults involved in the pathogenesis of bladder dysfunction, with an interest in overactive bladder, urge incontinence and a particular emphasis on underactive bladder, and the methods to properly diagnose, stratify, and treat these processes. Ramy's clinical focus includes all aspects of voiding dysfunction, including male and female patients and spans both idiopathic and neurogenic causes, with an emphasis in geriatric urology and female pelvic floor disorders
