Dr. Janelle Fox is a Pediatric Urologist who recently joined the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, VA. Her prior practice includes UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh (2019-2022) and the US Navy (2011-2019). She completed Urology training at the Mayo Clinic (Urology Residency) and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (Pediatric Urology Fellowship). Her clinical interests include nephrolithiasis, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and treatment options for refractory voiding dysfunction. She remains actively involved in quality improvement and patient safety, earning a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety Management from Thomas Jefferson University in 2021. To support the quality of the care that physicians provide, she has served in the following performance improvement roles, including appointment to two Professional Practice Evaluation Committees, Physician Lead for the CA-UTI committee, and Performance Improvement Committee Chair. She remains active academically, by both publishing in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, mentoring resident research, and reviewing for three Urology and Pediatric Urology journals. Outside of regular work duties, she serves as a volunteer surgeon in partnership with Children’s Surgery International, IVUmed, and EVMS Global Health.
