Bryan Naelitz, MD, MS is a first-year Urology resident at the Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute. He completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis in 2016, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Anthropology. Bryan cemented his interest in Urology in college by completing anthropology coursework that focused on reproductive health issues and by joining the Miner Laboratory, where he investigated the feasibility of possible treatment for Alport Syndrome. He then attended medical school at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine on a full-tuition scholarship. During his fourth year of graduate studies, he completed a research year with the Sharifi Laboratory, where he used single-cell RNA sequencing to investigate expression of androgenic machinery amongst prostatic cell types. Bryan also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Case Western Reserve University, for which he analyzed hormonal predictors of pituitary pathology among men being evaluated for symptoms of hypogonadism. After graduating medical school in 2021, he continued his medical training at Cleveland Clinic as a Urology resident. Bryan’s current research interests encompass andrology, infertility, endocrinology, microsurgery, and male reproductive health.
