Kevin Shee, MD PhD, is second year Urology Resident Physician at UCSF. He graduated with honors from Harvard University with a BA in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2011. He completed his PhD at Dartmouth in 2018 in the lab of Dr. Todd Miller with a thesis entitled “Novel Precision Medicine Paradigms for Breast and Ovarian Cancer,” and was the recipient of the John W. Strohbehn Medal for Excellence in Biomedical Research as the top graduating PhD student selected by the Geisel faculty. He completed his MD at Dartmouth in 2020 and was the recipient of the S. Marsh Tenney Research Award for achievements in research. He has authored 38 indexed publications with over 2600 citations, the majority of them as first-author, in high-impact journals including Nature and Science. He is also the recipient of multiple awards and grants for his research, including a $250,000 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Fellowship grant from the NCI/NIH. He hopes to complete his surgical residency and pursue both surgery and research as a Urologist at a major academic center in the future.
