Creighton University School of Medicine
I am a first-year medical student at Creighton University School of Medicine, and my research has primarily been focused on models of incontinence and sexual function/dysfunction. With only two and a half years of urologic research under my belt, I am eager to delve deeper as a medical student and further immerse myself in the field of urology. As the founder of my medical school’s urology interest group, I have found my passion for urology and plan on contributing meaningful research to the field of men’s health and infertility, as well as women’s health and sexual dysfunction. Having my AUA podium presentations canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19, I look forward to meeting and presenting my findings in the future. I have accepted the AUA/UCF Summer Medical Student Fellowship and will be exploring the role of lower urinary tract microbiota in urethral fibrogenesis. My experiences as a member of a research team since my junior year of undergrad have positioned me to appreciate the importance of a realistic research plan, budget, and timeline. I am yearning to utilize my enthusiasm and work ethic to produce quality findings that will eventually change and improve current clinical practice.
