Dr. Eugenio Ventimiglia is a Urologist at the Urology Unit of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital directed by Professor Francesco Montorsi
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan in 2013, he specialized in Urology at the same university in 2019. During his training, he carried out a clinical research fellowship lasting 12 months at the Regional Cancer Center of Uppsala, Sweden (Prof. Pär Stattin). He also obtained the clinical fellowship of the Endourological Society after a period of 18 months at the Department of Urology of the Hôpital Tenon (Paris, Prof. Olivier Traxer) and the Diplôme Universitaire en Lithiase urinaire of the Sorbonne University. Currently, he holds a doctorate in epidemiology at the University of Uppsala, in Sweden.
Doctor Ventimiglia focuses his clinical interest mainly on the minimally invasive endoscopic treatment of urinary stones (flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy) and urothelial neoplasia of the upper excretory path; on the diagnostic and therapeutic evaluation of infertile couples; and on the main andrological pathologies (erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, La Peyronie's disease or induratio penis Plastica).
Research: Dr. Ventimiglia is dedicated to the surgical, metabolic and epidemiological aspects of urinary stones, in addition to the pathophysiological and epidemiological aspects of couple infertility. Other subjects of study are the epidemiology and clinical outcomes of patients with andrological diseases and the epidemiological aspects of population registries. He is the author and co-author of 86 publications in indexed international scientific journals.
