Stefano Da Sacco, PhD

Stefano Da Sacco, PhD, earned his PhD in tissue engineering in a joint effort from the University of Padua (Italy) and from the University of Southern California and completed his post-graduate training in the laboratory of Roger De Filippo, MD, FACS, FAAP and Laura Perin, PhD. His research has focused on the relationship between extracellular matrix and self-renewal, differentiation and specification of nephron progenitors. Da Sacco is an assistant professsor of urology with the University of Southern California. His current research focuses on the development of a glomerulus-on-a-chip system for disease modeling and drug screening.
