University of Miami

I am Derek Van Booven and am a senior bioinformatics analyst at the University of Miami. I have a BS degree in computer science and have spent the last 15 years in academia analyzing genomic data. Recently, I have focused on the integration of genomics and artificial intelligence in terms of RNA sequencing correlating to pathology images. My primary focus is on how to develop these deep learning models and how to apply them to clinical applications to be used to enhance patient treatment strategies and outcome.
