Alyssa Yee, MD

Alyssa Yee, MD is the SMSNA Clinical Fellow of 2021-2022 at San Diego Sexual Medicine and Scripps Green Hospital in San Diego, California under the mentorship of Dr. Irwin Goldstein and Dr. Jordan Siegel. Alyssa is the recipient of the SMSNA Foundation Research Grant and is a member of the Young Clinicians Committee. Her research interests include Neuroproliferative Vestibulodynia, Female Sexual Dysfunction, access to care, and the advancement of women in urology. A graduate of Barnard College's Architecture program, she found a non-traditional route to SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. She went on to complete a Urologic Surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in the multicultural neighborhoods of Sunset Park and Borough Park. She is involved in several health related non-profit organizations and sits on the medical advisory board for World Vasectomy Day. She loves cooking, quilting, dancing, and teaches flying trapeze part-time.
