Kara Lombardo, Research Specialist at Johns Hopkins Department of Urology in process of applying to PhD programs for pathobiology or cancer biology. I have my Bachelor's in Science and have spent the past 7 years working in pathology research looking at biomarkers of disease at Brown University and Johns Hopkins pathology departments. I recently focused my research on urology, specifically bladder cancer and have been working in a basic translational lab looking at the STING pathway in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and working on utilizing this pathway to optimize therapy for bladder cancer in rodent models.
