Chesapeake Urology
A native of the New York area, Dr. Rosen is an experienced endourologist specializing in the minimally invasive treatment of complex kidney stone disease. He also focuses on the treatment of upper tract urothelial cancer and organ sparing approaches to its management. He has a wide breadth of experience treating the gamut of urological diseases. His research focuses on the mechanisms of formation of kidney stones as well as the newest techniques and technologies to facilitate their treatment. As both a passionate teacher and the beneficiary of mentorship from leading clinicians, he is dedicated to resident and medical student education, research, and training the next generation of endourologists. Whether in the operating room or the clinic, he believes in a patient-centric approach to decision making and patient treatment, understanding that each patient’s unique circumstances may lead to different needs or goals. He has also been involved administratively in process improvements and operational efficiency, working with teams throughout the hospital to improve patient care.
Dr. Rosen graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University with a B.A. in Biology. He then received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School before completing his general surgery and urology training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Under the mentorship of Dr. Julio Davalos, Dr. Rosen completed his endourology training with a particular focus on minimally invasive treatment of complex stone disease at Chesapeake Urology, affiliated with the University of Maryland.
