Kavita Gupta, MD

Kavita Gupta is a PGY-4 Urology resident at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Originally from California, she completed her undergraduate education and medical school training at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She plans to pursue a fellowship in endourology. She has performed research in using a thulium fiber laser for simultaneous
percutaneous nephrolithotomy and transpelvic endopyelotomy for high-insertion ureteropelvic junction obstruction. She is currently doing research in minimizing retained stents in an urban setting using electronic medical record ureteral stent tracker.
Her interests include complex stone disease, robotic surgery, and laparoscopy. She has multiple peer-reviewed publications and chapters in Urology.
