Dr. Simon P. Kim is a urologic oncologist whose clinical practice focuses on the surgical management of genitourinary malignancies. He specializes in the surgical treatment of bladder, kidney, prostate, and testis cancer. He performs both robotic and open surgery for localized or locally advanced cancers. His research focuses on improving the quality of care and health outcomes for patients diagnosed with prostate, bladder and kidney cancer. He also has research interests in shared decision-making and health services research. He was has been awarded a career development award from the Conquer Cancer Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is also been independently funded for an R01 grant from the NCI to develop decision aids for men diagnosed with localized prostate cancer. He has also published more than 100 manuscripts in outcomes research for genitourinary cancer.
