Phillip H. Abbosh, Dr.

Fox Chase Cancer Center

Philip Abbosh MD-PhD is an Asssistant Professor at Fox Chase Cancer Center in the Molecular Therapeutics Program where he studies kidney and bladder cancer. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at Einstein Medical Center, where his clinical practice is located. Dr. Abbosh completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and MD-PhD degrees at Indiana University. He completed PhD training in the lab of Ken Nephew, PhD. He then completed urology residency at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Abbosh then moved to Philadelphia for a two-year Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Now he is a surgeon-scientist whose lab efforts focus on chemoresponse in bladder cancer as well as kidney cancer epigenetics.
